... it's okay if your only reading material is your daily blog roll.
... it's alright if you want to wear your flip flops at the first sign of nice weather.
... you can have breakfast for dinner.
... you can stay in your jammies all day if you want.

Saturday, we got up early had breakfast (you don't sleep in) on family outings! Saturday afternoon we all went canoeing down the river together, and then later that evening we had a fish fry, and another bon fire! Came back and some of them played an arousing game of Farmopoly, yes that is correct!
Julie and I met in the summer of 2004, when I came to Arizona for my internship. We became fast friends that summer, finding out that we had a ton in common, she was a source of strength to me during a time when life was pretty crazy. I love her dearly, and I'm so thankful for her in my life.
Jules, and her Hubby Brandon live in Sunny AZ with their two boys Kaden & Wyatt. Julie just finished nursing school, and I couldn't be more proud of her for going back to school with a baby and another on the way. While juggling being wife, mother, friend and everything else she is!! Love you! Happy Birthday!
This picture is of us, on my wedding rehearsal day, in July of 2007. Isn't she a babe!! Could you believe she's a mama!?! Shortly after this pic was taken we found out she was preggo with baby Wyatt! :)

<---- we will be staying here!
We haven't seen my family, nor been home since Christmas. Most of you that know me know, that this is a BIG deal! It's been quite a while, and with so much happening since then I am excited that THIS weekend we're having a family weekend. O and I are driving to Iowa tomorrow early morning to Backbone State Park to spend the weekend with the whole family! I'm pretty excited that all or most of my family will be there!
It's going to be a fun filled weekend of hiking, probably fishing, relaxation, girl talk, and bonding together. I'm even going to throw in a family photo shoot since we didn't all get a picture together at Christmas!
We leave tomorrow at 8 AM, it's a 4 and a half hour drive to Iowa where the park is, and I can't wait!! Have a great weekend! See you Monday!

I have been passionate about this cause since I was a teen myself, and have long supported this ministry financially too. I believe in this cause so much, and believe that the heart of a young woman is not defined by the things she has done, it doesn't make her who she is. But, the love of Christ in her is what defines her.
Some of my favorite Christian artists support this ministry too. Recently Natalie Grant visited the Mercy Ministries house in Nashville (it's home base) for a chapel service. I love what she has to say to the ladies:

I'm already loving this season, here's a list of why:
Tony & Melissa: Yes, that's Melissa from The Bachelor. She's back and I am so excited to watch her this season. So glad she's doing well, and decided last minute to do the show! I can't wait to watch more and more of her. All those that watched, you know the audience cheered and stood on their feet for her! YEAH MELISSA!
Shawn & Mark: Shawn Johnson is an Olympic gold medalist, and she's from Iowa! Obviously I love her already. She's the youngest they have had on the show yet! I'm super excited to watch what she does, I already things she's great!
Cheryl & Gilles: Cheryl Burke is my fave pro dancer. I don't care, who she dances with each season I still love her, even if her partner is bad. She can do no wrong. She's amazing.

America's Top 10 Most affordable Burbs (I am not looking to move, but I found this interesting)- West Des Moines, Iowa made the list! Yeah! I'd live there.
5 Ways to get the Job You Want, In any Economy (I obviously need to read this!) It says the average America will have 11 different full time jobs, in 5 different career fields in their lifetime! Gosh, I hope that's not true! :( Still, a very interesting article.
Pig-Odor Study (only in Iowa) Where the number of pigs outweigh the actual population, only in Iowa people. Yes, it's true...can this be news? If you don't believe me, read for yourself. People all across Iowa annoyed by the smell, and what to do about it. I say, c'mon people.... did you just wake up a realize that you were living in Iowa? Seriously?!? Anyway, GOP debates on what to do about this issue. I say as the #1 pork distributor in the Nation...deal with it people!

In Entertainment News,
Britney's Circus Tour kicked off this week, The Bachelor's Jason & Molly are enjoying their 15 minutes of shame as they make the press rounds this week, and American Idol tries to regain fans and interest by adding "the wild card" round in last night's episode. Note to self: AI is sooo over, nothing is going to bring it back. Just like the Bachelor, I think it's time they call it quits!
What are you up to this weekend?
Well, tonight I will be heading over to RLC, to help out with their 2nd Annual Royal Experience event for young girls. It's going to be a fun night. Pictures to come. And Saturday, I will be heading up North to Perham, MN with Tricia...as we meet the designer of her dress and talk all things pageants in hopes for a good outcome. Busy, busy.... but that's the way uh, huh, uh, huh I like it!! :)

Here's my issues with Myspace; creepy, dirty and scary adds turn me off! The content is a little touch and go sometimes, you never know what people are going to post! And lastly, they say "Myspace is a place for friends" well, you know what else it's a place for? Viruses!! yes, that's right people..... the last time I logged into Myspace which was about a week ago my computer got a horrible virus on it. And just tonight when I logged in, that same virus came out again. I didn't make the connection last week, since I was only logged on for about 5 minutes. But tonight I was logged in and it happened again. I thought something fishy was going on.
At the risk of not being able to get in touch with my girls in Arizona I mulled over this for a while. So, I deleted my Myspace account for good, for once and for all! It's gone, never to be logged in on again, and hopefully I won't get anymore pesky viruses. My computer is dying, but Myspace had to go first.
So now, you will only be able to find me on Facebook! Which, I like it a lot better anyway!
Have a great weekend!!

Someone needs to restore America's faith in this craziness, besides (of coarse) Trista & Ryan!
Tune in May 18th to watch and see!
And just you are in need of something to replace Monday nights with the Bachelor, I highly suggest Dancing with the Stars! The new season starts next Monday!

Are you serious? Are you stupid? What's wrong with you? I can't believe you just did that!
First of all, the whole first hour and a half...complete waste of time In my opinion. (which is all that matters here) They could have just skipped all that and cut right to the "ATR Ceremony" and been done. You'd still get the jist.
It was like watching a car crash, awful...but I couldn't take my eyes off it.
I can't even begin to address all that happened, it's awful! But here's what I will say......
Jason broke Melissa's heart. He dumped her on National t.v., and gave her no reason why. He's stupid. She deserves better.
1. I am glad she called him a liar
2. I am glad she said don't text me, call me, or try to be in contact with me.
3. I am glad she told him exactly how she felt! You go Melissa!
4. I can't believe Molly would take him back after what he did to both of them. She's stupid too!
5. I hope they don't last.
6. I hope Melissa's falls madly in love soon! Maybe her and Jillian could do a double bachelorette!
7. I think I am going to boycott the next season of The Bachelor...this is getting ridiculous!
That is all I can say for now, I am still in shock that he actually did that to her. As far as I am concerned he's right up there with Brad's season and Lorenzo!
Weigh in on your thoughts here ladies.......

Saturday morning, we all got up and started to get ready for the day. Saturday afternoon Becky and I were throwing a baby shower for our 2 very preggo friends Sara & Eunice. They are both due in April about a week apart, and having girls!! It's been so awesome having two of our friends go through this experience together. So it was only fitting to have a double baby shower. Now, I've never been to a double baby shower but I think it went quite well. We had a great turn out again, the food was great, and it was awesome to honor them this way. This will be Sara's 2nd baby girl, and this is Eunice's 1st child! The room was full of everything pink for the day!
It was such a great weekend, and I feel really blessed to have had all my best girls around me this weekend. We've been through it all together, and after so many years we're still all there. Next BESA reunion we'll have 2 new babies to add to the mix. That will bring us up to 4 kids! (I am a little behind the curve)
